In an effort to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world application, the Fellows led by the Executive Secretary of the Lateef Jakande Leadership Academy (LJLA), Mrs. Ayisat Agbaje-Okunade visited Caverton Offshore Support Group (COSG), a leading innovative marine and aviation logistics provider in the oil and gas industry in Nigeria and Sub-Sahara Africa.
In her remarks, Mrs. Agbaje-Okunade stated that the learning visit aimed to groom the Fellows of the Academy into future leaders by equipping them with the requisite skills to positively influence the public service and instill in them the ethics and values of purposeful leadership through intentional learning opportunities.









The Chief Executive Officer of COSG, Mr. Olabode Makanjuola, during his interactive sessions with the visiting team, explained the principles behind the indigenous production techniques adopted by the company which aims to promote economic growth and development.
“At Caverton, we are committed to fostering effective capacity building for the next generation of talents and we believe that these learning visits play a crucial role in inspiring young minds and encouraging them to be innovative solution providers”, Makanjuola stated.
The Fellows were later given a guided tour of the manufacturing facility, where they observed the entire production cycle from raw materials to finished products of top-tier Glass-Reinforced Plastic (GRP) passenger and cargo boats for use on inland waterways.
