Fellows of Lateef Jakande Leadership Academy (LJLA) recently engaged in an enriching Fireside Chat with the Deputy Governor, Economic Policy Directorate of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Mr. Muhammed Sani Abdullahi, widely known as Dattijo, in a session that explored the critical role of economic policy in advancing sustainable growth, institutional development, and national prosperity.

Speaking on the foundations of impactful governance, he underscored the importance of strategic thinking, institutional resilience, and evidence-based decision-making in driving economic progress. He encouraged the Fellows to cultivate the discipline of long-term planning while remaining adaptable to an increasingly dynamic global environment.
“Sustainable development requires leaders who can build strong teams, inspire collective ownership, and mobilise diverse stakeholders towards shared national objectives” He added.
Speaking after the engagement, LJLA Executive Secretary, Mrs. Ayisat Agabaje-Okunade, described the Fireside Chat as another significant step in the Academy’s commitment to developing a new generation of transformational leaders equipped with the knowledge, values, and strategic mindset required to address complex governance challenges.
