LJLA Graduates 2024/2025 Fellows, Inducts New Cohort - LJLA

The Lateef Jakande Leadership Academy (LJLA) held its Graduation and Induction Ceremony at the Balmoral Convention Centre, Ikeja GRA, marking the completion of the 2024/2025 Fellowship year and formally welcoming the new 2025/2026 Cohort.

The event, organised by the Academy, drew a wide array of dignitaries from government, private sector, and civil society. Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, attended as the Chief Host, reaffirming the State Government’s commitment to supporting leadership development and youth empowerment initiatives.

In his remarks, Governor Sanwo-Olu commended the graduating Fellows for their year of service and innovation, noting that the Academy continues to produce leaders equipped to tackle the challenges of governance and society. He also congratulated the incoming Fellows, charging them to embrace the opportunities before them with discipline and vision.

The ceremony featured several key moments: certificates of completion were presented to the graduating Fellows; the incoming Fellows were formally inducted into the programme; and awards were given to outstanding Fellows of the 2024/2025 Cohort. Supportive Ministries, Departments and Agencies, as well as strategic partners of the Academy, were also recognised for their contributions.

Graduating Fellows shared heartfelt reflections about their year-long journey, highlighting the personal and professional growth gained through their placements and projects. In addition, the Fellows launched a book titled “The Torchbearers: Rethinking Nigeria’s Future together”, an anthology of leadership essays that documents their experiences and offers insights into leadership, policies and service in Nigeria.
